Moderator's Summary
Great dialog with about 17 participants consistently throughout the hour.

Highlights were:
  • brainstorming ideas to help create personal learning journals in your classroom - using technology to bring together digital "nuggets" of learning throughout the year to create an academic "resume."
  • sharing individual "technology toolboxes" to learn which kinds of tools teachers actually use in their classroom with success. Some that were mentioned were blogs, google apps, wikis, and RSS aggregators.
  • discussing the "parent connection" - how to help parents understand why these tools are important, how the world is changing, and how to help their children stay safe online.
  • brainstorming ways to share K12Online presentations with other staff at your individual school.
